This volume includes the third group of the parable series. It deals particularly with the parables involving Israel and the Gentiles. One of these parables—The Laborers of the Vineyard—has been considered extremely difficult to understand. A superficial reading of it might give the impression that it is out of character with the other teachings of Jesus, as if the householder, the leading character of the parable, was a man intent in producing poor labor relations. But the purpose of the parable has another objective altogether. When the proper key is found, we perceive that the parable contains one of the most valuable lessons of the Gospel.
